White Velvet Chapter 1

The Meeting

“Okay, where am I?” said the young boy as he walk through the corridor. Lost and alone in the place where one are not supposed to lost at all, if he follow his teacher in the first place.

Yes, this is the main character of the story when he is 10 years old, the age where the boy is known for his naughtiness and mischief. Right now, he is currently lost in one place that he was supposed not to lose at, if he follows his teacher’s instruction.

This is the Holy Palace of The Creed, where the organization that upholds the Creed of God mainly based at. This is the place where the boy’s class were supposedly making their field trip, but not to the boy knowledge that the field trip have been cancelled.

Why this boy doesn’t know? Well, it simply because he decided to go directly to the Palace since his house is closer to it instead of going to the school first. If he went to the school first he may know that the trip were cancelled and changed to the beach instead, however that doesn’t mean that the end of the story yet. There is another fate waiting for him inside that Palace.

(However, I must warn all that read this, DO NOT ATTEMPT this action for it is unethical and a bad behavior to be follow, and you are not the story’s main character and such thing are mostly never occurred to you, if God will it.)

As the story go, the boy take a drastic decision by entering the Palace alone. Luckily for him, most of the Palace staff is not available making the Palace almost empty. The most of units that guard the Palace, the Templar were ordered to somewhere else to assist in a battle. This is the time when wars are brewing between nations and the Valley of the Moon was not excluded from it.

Albeit the war, the Palace still taking a laid back in their security. Since they were a nation of religious importance nothing much were expected from them at that time. Most of the nations don’t even look at the Order and the Order only assists any follower in any nation that asked for their help. So, the boy just entered the Palace easily but not for long, because after that he found himself being chase by the Templar.

In the same place but in the different side, a girl (or a maybe a princess?) is sitting in a room. A room full of book, and more books, and what the girl do is sit there and read it, or study. The girl however, obediently follows what his father told her to. Study and learn all the knowledge in the world and of the Creed, and be like the lady fitting to her place. The girl has no qualm in it, she has no reason to reject it, and beside she loves it. She love every book  she read, she love to learn every new thing but sometime there is time when she look outside the window and could not help but feeling jealous to the kids who play outside the Palace.

This time, just like any other time, the girl look outside the window again, and staring at the playground that located outside the Palace. Although it not that far, but for her the distance stretch like the heaven and earth.  The girl sigh, she then said, “God, if you can hear me, I never ask you anything before and I never be a bad girl so this time, please let me play at the playground and if possible I would like to have someone to play.”

No answer was heard after that, but God have His own plan. The door suddenly burst open and a boy rush into the room before closing it back. The girl were as shock as the boy himself. Both of them are speechless for the next few minute but never in their mind would predict the future that they will share together.

Yes, this is the moment where Paul Aelius and Marie Whyte first meet each other, and their fate entangle ever since that day.
